HENRY THE PATCHED UP KID is a bit like a mix between Peannuts, A Nightmare before Christmas and Ghostbusters or Dragonball Z. It is aimed at a 8-12 years old audience group. Its goals are presenting likeable even if twisted characters in fun but twisted intelligent stories while giving a good source of merchandising items.

It tells the story of young Henry, a kid patched up together by mad surgeon Rupert Fuhreyer with body parts from the old morgue where he works in. It is the quest of a curious young boy to discover and understand a world where he does not fit in and where he will befriend other misfits, his encounter with Abbi, a young Mummy Girl his father has inadvertantly brought back to life and his fight with his firend's help, to protect her from the evil wizard Rooster Enrico who wants to possess the arcane powers she somehowe possesses. As an animated TV series, Henry the Patched Up Kid should have a loose ongoing storyline. It should follow 4 interlaced plots (in order of importance): |

BACKSTORY

THE
CAMP/HORROR THRILLER with an evil wizard sending his supernatural
goons after the Mummy Girl, while Henry and friends thwart his efforts
on a weekly basis, thus giving us A YOUNG HERO, an HEROIN, a SUPER TEEN
TEAM, a MAIN VILAIN and a MONSTER OF THE WEEK.
A slow build up of Henry's disfunctionnal frienship-love relation with
Abbi, as in any sitcom, thus giving us a THE
TEEN LOVE STORY.
THE
TWISTED PETIT PRINCE TALE depicting Henry ever evolving relation
with his Haunted Hand, starting with the untamed hand controlling Henry
during his sleep and sometimes even his waking hours. Then, the slow understandind
the two manage to acheive and finally, their complete gestalt, giving
Henry untold "beyond the grave" powers.
The police story with a detective suspecting Doctor Fuhreyer of being
related with the "theft" of the museum's mummy and the good
doctor's efforts to hide the nature of his experimenst, thus giving us
THE WHO DUNNIT.
The doctor's experiments, the Haunted Hand and whatever else can happen is more than enough to give the series its share of comic moments and side stories. The Haunted Hand's role should be that of a sidekick to Henry. Introduction of mid-series new main characters, would help broaden the story's scope. Characters such as "Grandma Witch", the mummy girl's gardian spirit, a woman cursed to appear only as a giant white crow except on the nights of full moon, and falling into an impossible love story with doctor F. Each episode should present Henry, Mummy Girl and the Doctor, as well as at least one of henry's friends (Kolo, Chonchon, etc...), as well as the regular detective character, the evil wizard and a sidekick (which can change from time to time) and a one-use MONSTER OF THE WEEK. Each episode should also present an original piece of information on one of the main characters, while still staying loose enough so that one doesnt NEED to have seen that particular episode to understand the story arc.
